Candle Flame Meanings

Observing how the candle/candles react when lit before or during a ritual is by some deemed crucial to performing said ritual. It also applies to any occult work, like for example divination. Most of these meanings are intuitive, but it's always nice having something written down, even if it's simple. I've been met with an approach that considered this method unskippable. Before any ritual, you must check what the candleflame says.
Now, I don't agree with this approach, but I do agree that watching how the candle burns can be helpful in gaining clarity/information on the energy around you.
